This document covers installation of the hardware and software for the Discovery™ 1100. It is recommended that this document be completely read before installing the Discovery™ 1100 Software.

Discovery 1100 Software Installation
This link will start the installation of the Discovery™ 1100 software. After selecting the link the option of "Open" or "Save" will be given. Select "Open" and follow the instructions of the Discovery™ 1100 software installation. It is recommended that the default settings be used for the installation.

If you have a previously installed version of the Discovery™ 1100 software, you must un-install that version before installing the software on this CD installation. The Discovery™ 1100 installation does not support upgrading at this time.

GUI Sample Source Code Installation
This link will start the installation of the Discovery™ 1100 sample source code which demonstrates the use of the ActiveX control for Discovery 1100 control and operation. After selecting the link the option of "Open" or "Save" will be given. Select "Open" and follow the instructions of the Discovery™ 1100 sample source code installation. This will install sample code files to c:\program files\DMD\Discovery 1100.

System Requirements Follow:
233MHz or higher Pentium processor or equivalent
30MB of free hard disk space
128MB of RAM
SVGA (800 x 600) display minimum (1024x768 recommended)
Local CD-ROM drive

The Discovery™ 1100 software is supported on the following operating systems:
Windows 2000 with USB 2.0
Windows XP Pro with USB 2.0

NOTE: To install the Discovery™ 1100 software, you may need Administrator rights on your computer. See your Systems Administrator for assistance.

WARNING! - Installing the Discovery™ 1100 software on other operating systems is at the users own risk and may cause unpredictable behavior. Windows 95, 98, and NT are not supported at this time.
